Scientific Symposium for a recurrent dialogue with Hungarian stakeholders

A scientific symposium organized by Kedrion’s Hungarian subsidiary HUMAN BioPlazma, entitled “From plasma collection to medicinal therapy” took place on September 19 at the Akvárium Club in Budapest. The conference aims to become a recurring event involving all members of the plasma chain: donors’ and patients’ associations, collection centers, physicians and healthcare professionals. This Symposium represents a great opportunity for the company to become aware of different situations and needs, providing it with a venue in which it can ask its stakeholders questions. Highly interactive communication is strongly requested by each component of the plasma chain; and this has inspired Kedrion to transform this symposium into a recurring event, so to examine a different therapeutic area every year.

This year the program focused on hematology and hemophilia. Key opinion leaders such as Prof. Dr. Csongor Kiss, Prof. Dr. Zoltán Boda and Dr. Lászlό Nemes shared their insights together with the top management of HUMAN BioPlazma and of Plazmaferezis, a subsidiary of Kedrion specialized in the collection of high quality plasma.
Dr. Stephan Walsemann also participated with a presentation as President of the European Plasma Collectors Committee. Many of those who took part in the conference also had the opportunity to visit Plazmaferezis’ Budapest 2 plasma collection center and Kedrion’s plant in Gödöllő, which had scheduled a special opening for visitors during the symposium.
